the LCD digital display is of the reverse LCD type, showing mostly black background. The digits is not difficult to read, but when the EL backlight is on, the digits seemingly glows for superb easy reading. The band also imprints the module number, making it feels more like a military operation code.
my military gshock that is from PIJ, was not digital.Whatever it is either digital or stick clock they still same feature against shock, chooses will be depend on one desire. I should encourage military person use gshock wrist watch since they are prone to dust and unexpected situation. The gshock is surely can handle this since it was design against unexpected shock.
